OUR MOST
IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIP & WHAT |
Our Most Important Relationship
We were created with value and worth.
God wants our lives to be meaningful.
God loves us and created us to have a personal relationship with Him.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal
life.” John 3:16
Our sin keeps us from having a personal relationship with God.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of
God.” Romans 3:23
Only through Jesus Christ can we have a personal relationship with God.
“For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the
unrighteous,
to bring us to God."
1 Peter 3:18
We must personally respond by trusting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
“Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name,
He gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12
What We Believe
1. We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testament, to be the only inspired and infallible Word of God.
2. We believe in the trinity of God existing in three equal persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
3.
We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in
His sinless life, in His miracles, in His personal
and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily
resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the
Father, in His priestly intercession on our behalf, and in His imminent
and personal return in power and glory.
4.
We believe in the complete fallen nature of mankind into sin
and death. We also believe salvation
by grace through faith in Jesus Christ is absolutely essential in the
complete redemption of each person.
5.
We believe in the present and helping ministry of the Holy
Spirit by Whose indwelling power and truth
the Christian is enabled to live a godly life in this present evil
world.
6.
We believe in both the resurrection of the saved and the
lost; they that are saved into the resurrection
of life, and they that are lost into the resurrection of judgment
and death.
7.
We believe in Christ’s universal church as God’s central
program on this present earth. We also
believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in Jesus Christ in both
the local church and the church universal.
Because Jesus Christ is the head of each local church we also believe this
local church has the right under
Christ to decide and govern its own affairs.
8.
We believe in Baptism and observance of the Lord’s Supper as
the recognized
ordinances of this church age.
